January 3: Moderate demand was witnessed for coal offered by Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) for allotment through e-auction of coaljunction during December, 2013 as out of 273,000 tons of coal offered, 196,285 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,525 per ton.
However, in November, a total of 92,000 tons of coal was offered for allotment out of which 82,000 tons or 89.13% got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,793/ton.
In October, a total of 128,700 tons of coal was offered for allotment out of which 91,450 tons or 71.06% got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,728/ton.
