SCCL’s December production grows 11.2%

January 9: Coal production from the 49 mines of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in December stood at 5.082 million tons (mt), about 11.2% higher than 4.57 mt achieved in November, according to data available with ICMW.
Production in December was the highest monthly output so far this fiscal year, but fell short of 5.431 mt targeted for the month.
Earlier, the miner had reported production volumes of 4.24 mt in October, 4.074 mt in September, 3.82 mt in August, 3.65 mt in July, 3.71 mt in June, 3.72 mt in May and 2.37 mt in April.
During the first nine months (April-December) of 2014-15, SCCL’s total coal production stood at 35.236 mt, about 10.5% lower than the target of 39.369 mt set for the period.
The annual production target of SCCL for 2014-15 stands at 55 mt. In 2013-14, SCCL’s production stood at 50.47 mt.
