SCCL’s July coal stocks up 40% y-o-y

August 12: Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) had ground stocks of coal of 2.3 million tons (mt) as of July 31, 2014, about 40% higher compared to 1.643 mt recorded for the same month last year, according to information available with ICMW.

However, the July stocks were down 16.8% month-on-month, against 2.765 mt reported for end-June, 2014.

The company started the year (2014-15) with ground stocks of 5.547 mt as of April 1, 2014 and saw a steady decline over the first quarter.
