SCCL’s coal production at 4.402 mt in Nov, below target

December 23: Coal production by Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) during the month of November 2013 stood at 4.402 million tons (mt), below the target of 5.413 mt set for the period but 9% higher than 4.036 mt produced during October 2013, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

On a year-on-year basis, the November 2013 production was marginally lower than 4.41 mt recorded during the same month last year.

During the first eight months (April-November) of the current financial year of 2013-14, total production by SCCL stood at 29.055 mt against a target of 33.229 mt. This was marginally lower than 31.93 mt achieved during the same period last year.

Total despatches during November 2013 by SCCL were at 4.12 mt, while despatches during April-November, 2013 were at 29.692 mt.
