SCCL’s coal production dips 64% in April m-o-m

May 26: Coal production from the 49 mines of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) during the month of April 2014 fell by 64.36% to 2.37 million tons (mt) compared to 6.65 mt in March 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

On a year-on-year basis, in April 2014, production by SCCL dropped 18.27% from 2.90 mt recorded in the same period last year (April 2013).

SCCL’s April 2014 production was much below the target of 4.03 mt set for the period. The annual production target of SCCL for 2014-15 stands at 55 mt.

In 2013-14, SCCL’s production stood at 50.47 mt.
