SLC directs RKM Powergen to submit revised DPR for Unchapinda

September 19: The Standing Linkage Committee (Long Term) or SLC (LT), after a meeting on September 13, has directed RKM Powergen Private Ltd to submit within a week a revised detailed project report (DPR) in order to be eligible to sign fuel supply agreements (FSAs) against its application for grant of coal linkage for Unchapinda units.

RKM Powergen had sought normal as well as tapering linkages for its Units 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Unchapinda.

RKM Powergen had been given a Letter of Assurance (LoA) for 1.69 million tons (mt) of coal from SECL for 350 MW generation capacity.

The revised DPR has been sought as the required land area as per the MoEF clearance (900 acres) has been reduced to 600 acres due to certain conditions pertaining to ash disposal.

Unit 1 and 2 at Unchapinda shall have coal linkage for generation of 350 MW power each. Unit 3 shall have 200 MW linkage (normal) and 150 MW linkage for tapering. Unit 4 shall have tapering linkage for 350 MW. The FSAs shall be signed accordingly.
