SLC seeks power ministry clarification on DVC’s Bokaro plant

September 19: The Standing Linkage Committee (Long Term) or SLC (LT) has sought clarification by September 30 from the Ministry of Power regarding usage of ash pond by Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) for its extension unit 1 at Bokaro TPS-A before giving its assent to DVC to sign the fuel supply agreement (FSA).

The committee has recommended that the ash pond is to be used for unit B only, but DVC had contended that the pond was to be used by both Units A and B.

DVC’s Bokaro TPS-A had milestones issues related to land acquisition, forest and environmental clearance and equity investment.
