STC floats tender for 378,000 tons of imported coal

May 26: The State Trading Corporation of India Limited (STC) has floated a tender for procurement of 378,000 tons of low sulphur Indonesian/imported coal on FOR destination at refinery site basis at BORL, Bina, Madhya Pradesh.

The technical specifications as mentioned in the document include: GCV (ARB) 4,600 Kcal/Kg (min.), sulphur (ADB) 0.2% (max.), ash (ADB) 8% (max.), total moisture (ARB) 28% (max.) and size 100 mm (max.).

The procured material will be consumed at the Bina refinery of Bharat Oman Refineries Limited (BORL), a company promoted by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.

The tentative requirement of coal from June 2014 to December 2014 is on per monthly basis; the maximum per month requirement is approximately 63,000 tons which shall vary, based on requirement, the document said.

The last date for submission of bids is June 10.
