January 28: The spot prices in international coal markets moved in expected lines with virtually no change in overall sentiments on January 27, market sources said.
Indian buyers continued to adopt wait and watch policy even as South African coal prices inched up further while Australian prices softened once again during the day, they said.
With huge stocks already lying at most of the Indian ports, traders are moving cautiously before finalising any deal.
“A trader offered 6500 Kcal GAR coal from Indonesian mine at $75 per ton FOB, but counter offer came at only around $69.00 per ton,” a source said.
