Sept anthracite imports via Chennai up 13.47% m-o-m

October 28: Anthracite coal imports via Chennai Port increased by 13.47% to 1,120.05 tons in September 2014 against 987 tons in August, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

In September, almost all the consignments arrived from China in a band of Rs 21,255 – Rs 27,872 ($344-457) per ton while the balance 00.05 tons arrived from Vietnam at 30,808 ($505)/ton.

In August, almost the entire amount arrived from China in a price band of Rs 19,451 – Rs 28,407 ($320-459) per ton.
