October 21: There was moderate demand for G9 grade (GCV 4,601 to 4,900 Kcal/kg) coal offered through the MSTC platform in September 2013 by CCL and WCL, as out of the 231,400 tons offered, 184,830 tons got allotted.
However, in August, out of 222,500 tons offered through the MSTC platform by BCCL, CCL and WCL, 173,930 tons got allotted.
The weighted average price in September 2013 for this grade of coal was at Rs 2,171.07 against Rs 1,988.69 in August.
