Sept met coke imports via New Mangalore plunge

October 15: Met coke imports via New Mangalore Port fell sharply during September 2014 to 4,990 tons from 27,500 tons in August, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In September 2013, met coke imports via the port stood at nil.
Total imports of met coke through New Mangalore Port in April-September, 2014-15 stood at 236,996 tons against 190,257 tons recorded in the same period of the previous financial year.

During September 2014, the entire quantity came in from China at a price of Rs 13,561 ($222) per ton.
However, in August 2014, the entire material also came from China at a price of Rs 12,660 ($209) per ton.
