Shandong August coal output up 5.9% y-o-y

Eastern China’s Shandong province produced a total 14.18 million tonnes of raw coal in August, down 7.26% from July but up 5.85% from the year prior --- the seventh straight yearly increase, showed preliminary data from the Shandong Administration of Coal Mine Safety on September 10.
Total raw coal output of the province reached 100.28 million tonnes over January-August, down 4.64% year on year.
Of this, the provincial-owned mines produced 74.53 million tonnes of raw coal over January-August, down 2.4% year on year; while the output from mines owned by municipal and lower-level governments fell 7.2% on year to 25.75 million tonnes.
