Shree Cement in talks to finalise deal for imported pet coke

June 5: Shree Cement Limited is in talks with suppliers to procure one Panamax cargo of imported petroleum coke (fuel grade), industry sources said.

In May, ICMW had reported that the company is likely to procure 0.3 million tons of imported pet coke for delivery between July and September.

“The company has already initiated talks to procure one cargo of 85,000 tons and the deal is likely to be finalised by Monday (June 9) as the bid from the cement-maker is valid till then,” the source said.

According to information available with ICMW, Shree Cement is aiming to finalise the deal at $100 per ton CFR Navlakhi or Mundra port on the western coast of India.
