Shree Cement’s 2nd qtr net profit down 19%

February 3: Shree Cement Limited, on February 3, reported an 18.88% drop in net profit at Rs 93.68 crore for the October–December quarter (second quarter) against Rs 115.49 crore recorded in the same quarter a year ago.

For the first half of the financial year (followed by Shree Cement) net profit of the company stood at Rs 202.49 crore, down by nearly 30% from Rs 287.71 crore in the corresponding period.

However, during the quarter under review, the company's net sales increased by almost 17% to Rs 1,541.89 crore compared to Rs 1,316 crore recorded in the corresponding period of 2013-14.
