Singareni Collieries’ Aug coal output dips 0.22% m-o-m

September 28: Coal production from the 49 mines of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in the month of August 2015 stood at 4.55 million tons, a shade down by 0.22% compared to 4.56 million tons (mt) recorded in July 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

SCCL’s coal production in the month of August 2015 is up 19.01% from 3.82 mt produced in the same month a year ago and 121% of the target of 3.76 mt set for the month.

Coal production of SCCL in the first five months (April-August) of the current fiscal (2015-16) stood at 22.76 mt, up 31.78% from 17.27 mt recorded in the same period of the previous fiscal.

The annual production targets of SCCL for 2015-16 stood at 56 mt.
