India Coal Market Watch

December 9: Altogether, 33 coal mining projects of Coal India Ltd (CIL) are lined up for receiving environmental clearances (EC) during the year 2016, according to information available with ICMW.

Of these, the highest number of 8 projects pending EC are located in the command area of South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL). This is followed by 6 projects each under Bharat Coking Coal Ltd (BCCL) and Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL), 4 projects each under Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL) and Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL) and 2 under Eastern Coalfields Ltd (ECL), the data shows.
