Singareni production, despatches both up in October

November 11: Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) has recorded an 18.40% jump in production to 5.02 million tons (mt) in October 2015, compared to 4.24 mt recorded for the same period last year, data released by the company shows.

For the first seven months of the current financial year (April-October), total production stood at 32.22 mt, which was higher by 25.96% over 25.58 mt achieved in the same period last year.

Coal production during April-October, 2015 was 108% of the target of 29.82 mt set for the period.

Total despatches in October were at 4.74 mt, a 9.22% jump over 4.34 mt reported for the same month last year.

Despatches during the first seven months of the current financial year (April-October) were at 33.08 mt, about 13.76% increase over 29.08 mt achieved in the same period last year.

Coal despatches during April-October, 2015 were 109% of the target of 30.31 mt set for the period under consideration.
