Singareni thermal project achieves record PLF

The 1200 MW coal fired Singareni thermal power plant at Jaipur, Adilabad district, Telangana, has recorded high plant load factor, with both units registering a new high.
The Unit-2 of the power project performed at 100 per cent capacity (Plant Load Factor of 100 per cent) during February 2017 and set a new record for the newly commenced power projects.
The first unit of the same project achieved 90 per cent PLF in February, and both put together achieved 95 per cent of station PLF.
The project of the State-owned mining company The Singareni Collieries Company Limited has claimed it achieved higher PLF when compared to any other plant or station run by the Gencos in AP and Telangana.
N. Sridhar, CMD of SCCL, congratulated officers and staff of Singareni Thermal Power Project for achieving this feat and thanked the Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao for guiding and supporting in timely completion of the power project.
The SCCL completed unit one and two during September and December 2016 respectively.
