May 7: Steam coal imports through the port of Dahej edged down in the month of April to 1,192,606 tons against a volume of 1,203,015 tons imported in March 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In April, 6,500 tons came from Indonesia at a unit price of Rs 4,848 ($77), 478,488 tons from South Africa at a price range of Rs 4,014-Rs 4,929 ($64-$78) per ton while details of the balance 707,618 tons were not available.
In March, 6,000 tons came from Indonesia at a unit price of Rs 3,231 ($51); 242,038 tons from South Africa at a price range of Rs 4,327-Rs 6,146($69-$98) per ton while details of 954,977 tons of coal were not available.
