September 12: South African and Australian steam coal prices improved slightly on expectation of higher enquiries, while Indonesian prices remained largely unchanged on September 11, industry sources said.
South African coal prices moved up by $0.30 per ton whereas Australian steam coal prices advanced by $1.00 per during the day over September 10 levels.
Meanwhile, a leading brokerage firm, Marex Spectron, offered to sell 4700 Kcal/kg Indonesian coal from East Kalimantan for October Laycan at $57.75 per ton FOB and $65.25 per ton CFR South China.
The company had on September 9 quoted bids and offers for 150,000 tons of RB1 coal for loading in October at a discount of $3.00 and $2.10 to API4 respectively basis 6000 Kcal/kg NAR.
