October 3: The indicative spot Indonesian coal prices softened slightly on October 2 amidst absence of enquiries, particularly from Indian and Chinese buyers, industry sources said.
Australian and South African prices, however, continued to remain firm and even moved up by $0.75 and $0.25 per ton respectively, they added.
The soft trend in coking coal prices continued as the rates of premium varieties softened by another $1.00 per ton while semi-soft categories slipped by around $2.00 per ton.
