May 07: A soft trend prevailed in international coal markets amidst low demand from major buying countries amidst ample stock, market sources said.
Indian demand remained subdued in the spot market even as some companies have floated fresh enquiries for deliveries in June and July, they said, adding, European buyers are practically out of the market putting pressure on South African coal prices.
