January 28: Spot prices of steam coal in the international markets continued to remain soft on January 27 on lack of fresh demand even as the supply scenario continues to be normal, industry sources said.
The current soft trend in prices is along expected lines as the Chinese buyers are out of the market and not many deals are taking place from other buyers, they added.
