December 10: Seaborne coal prices showed a largely flat trend in international markets on December 9, depicting lacklustre demand and negative short-to-medium term outlook.
South African standard grade thermal coal prices continued its slide on a day that saw little movement in prices across categories, market sources said.
Meanwhile, an EIA report shows that US coal exports have declined in 2015 due to slower growth in demand this year. The analysts forecast a similar trend for 2016.
