April 24: Spot prices of steam coal in international markets remained largely unchanged on April 23 amidst limited buying interest, industry sources said.
With China continuing to be less aggressive and Indian buying activities restricted, the prices remained largely unchanged, they added.
Meanwhile, freight rate from South Africa to India rose by around $0.50 per ton for Panamax vessels on April 23 on the back of the recent firmness in the Baltic index.
