A rise in the offered and allotted quantities of coal by Coal India Ltd (CIL) subsidiaries was seen on coaljunction in financial year 2015-16 compared to 2014-15, but the allotted quantity remained almost unchanged, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
The total offering during 2015-16 rose 50.73% to 40,551,939 tons compared to the 2014-15 offering of 26,904,146 tons, while the allotted quantity was up by 0.52% to 23,847,034 tons in 2015-16 from 23,724,152 tons in 2014-15.
In March, the last month of 2015-16, the total offering was down 27.58% to 3,784,280 tons compared to the February offering of 5,226,016 tons, while the allotted quantity was down by 31.45% to 1,916,415 tons in March 2016 from 2,795,708 tons in February 2016.
