December 4: A stable trend prevailed in international coal markets on December 3 amidst restricted deals as buyers expect further softness in prices while sellers are trying to maintain the levels, market sources said.
“The overall number of deals was not that high as buyers are expecting further decline in prices and as such delaying their procurement. But, at the same time, sellers are trying their best to hold on to prices,” they said.
One thing that appears to be in favour of buyers is ample availability of material in almost all the markets, they added.
