June 2: A stable trend prevailed in international coal markets on May 30 as prices moved sideways on lack of major enquiries, market sources said.
The softness seen earlier in the prices of South African varieties extended during the day, they said.
Metallurgical coke prices, however, fell sharply on higher availability amidst low demand from steel makers, particularly the merchant coke makers, they added.
