Steam coal exports via Paradip see dry run for 10 months

Even as domestic production of steam coal is rising in India, most of it is getting consumed by the domestic user-industries. Consequently, there have been no steam coal exports through Paradip Port from February-December, 2015, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
In January 2015, a reduced volume of 16,300 tons had been exported against a heftier 32,400 tons in December 2014.
In both instances, the material had gone to Bangladesh.
