Steam coal imports via Cochin port at 5,000 tons in August

September 24: Imports of steam coal via Cochin port stood at 5,000 tons during the month of August 2013, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

However, import of the material stood at nil during the corresponding month of the previous financial year.

During the month, the entire quantity came from Indonesia at a price of Rs 3,820 ($62) per ton.
