Steam coal imports via Kolkata Port at 6,300 tons in May

June 6: There were steam coal imports of 6,300 tons in May 2014 through the port of Kolkata, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

There were no steam coal imports through the port in April 2014, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

Total steam coal imports via Kolkata Port for the entire financial year of 2013-14 were at 1,735,675.

A single consignment arrived from South Africa at a unit price of Rs 5,987 ($98) in May.
