February 10: Imports of non-coking coal via Magdalla Port stood at 48,015 tons during the month of January 2015, down 14.28% from 56,014 tons recorded during December 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
During January 2015, 11,878 tons came from Australia at a price of Rs 6,542 ($103) per ton, 14,000 tons came from Indonesia at a price range of Rs 3,368-Rs 4,056 ($53-$65) per ton, 20,000 tons came from South Africa at a price range of Rs 5,904-Rs 6,090 ($95-$98) per ton amongst others.
However, in December 2014, 40,000 tons came from Australia at a price of Rs 6,542 ($100-$102) per ton, 7,500 tons came from Indonesia at a price of Rs 3,411 ($54) per ton amongst others.
