Steam coal imports via Magdalla sharply down in Nov

December 19: Imports of non-coking coal via Magdalla Port stood at 1,000 tons during the month of November 2014 against 97,247 tons recorded during October, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During the month, the entire material came in from Indonesia at a price of Rs 3,876 ($62) per ton while in October, 27,643 tons came from Australia at a price of Rs 6,635 ($106) per ton, 5,000 tons from Indonesia at a price of Rs 3,512 ($56) per ton and 64,604 tons from South Africa at a price of Rs 6,764 ($109) per ton.
