Steam coal imports via Pipavav stay flat in Apr m-o-m

Imports of steam coal through Pipavav Port remained almost flat month-on-month at 111,208 tons in April 2016 compared to 111,541 tons reported in March 2016, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
Total imports of the material for 2015-16 (April to March) were at 990,550 tons.
In April 2015 the imports stood at 141,925 tons.

In April 2016, around 30,000 tons were imported from Indonesia at a unit price of Rs 4,341 ($64), while a volume of 65,000 tons came from South Africa at a price range of Rs 2,585 - Rs 2,739 ($38-$41) per ton. Further details of the remaining 16,208 tons were not available.
In March 2016, around 54,339 tons were imported from South Africa at a unit price of Rs 3,114 ($45). Further details of the remaining 57,124 tons were not available.
