Strong demand for G-10 grade coal in July e-auction

August 29: Strong demand was witnessed in July 2014 for G-10 grade (GCV 4,301 to 4,600 Kcal/kg) coal offered by CCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as 22,460 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 22,500 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 2,239 per ton.
In June, however, more or less fair demand was witnessed for this grade offered by SECL, CCL and NCL for allotment as 210,000 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 270,000 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 2,295 per ton.
In May, a similar demand was witnessed as that of June for this grade offered by SECL and CCL for allotment through the same platform as 243,360 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 270,000 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 2,253 per ton.
