June 25: A strong demand was witnessed in May 2014 for G-11 grade (GCV 4,001 to 4,300 Kcal/kg) coal offered by CCL and SECL for allotment through the MSTC platform as the out of an offered quantity of 400,000 tons of coal, 398,950 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,110 per ton.
However, a very strong demand was witnessed in April 2014 for G-11 grade coal offered by MCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as the entire offered quantity of 680,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,607 per ton.
A very strong demand was also witnessed in March 2014 for G-11 grade coal offered by MCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as the entire offered quantity of 80,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,142 per ton.
