August 29: Very strong demand was witnessed for G-6 grade (GCV 5,501 to 5,800 Kcal/kg) coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL in the month of July 2014 via e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as the full 30,000 tons of the offered quantity got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,103 per ton.
Similar strong demand was witnessed for the same grade of coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL in the month of June 2014 via e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as the full 96,950 tons of the offered quantity got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,894 per ton.
In May too, very strong demand was witnessed for this grade offered by the four subsidiaries of CIL via this platform as 69,740 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 69,750 tons, at a weighted average price of Rs 3,466 per ton.
