June 25: A very strong demand was witnessed for G-6 grade (GCV 5,501 to 5,800 Kcal/kg) coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL in the month of May 2014 e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as 69,740 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 69,750 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 3,466 per ton.
In fact, a volume of 182,005 tons of G-6 grade coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL had met with fair demand during April 2014 e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as 181,970 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,913 per ton.
On the other hand, a quantity of 83,675 tons of G-6 grade coal offered by five subsidiaries of CIL met with very strong demand in the March 2014 e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as 83,470 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,797 per ton.
