March 6: Strong demand was witnessed for G12 (GCV between 3,700 and 4,000 Kcal/kg) grade coal offered on the e-auctions platform of coaljunction during February 2014 as out of 1,283,500 tons offered, 1,218,200 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,312/ton.
However, during January 2014, the entire offered quantity of 200,000 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,225/ton.
During December 2013, 1,292,270 tons of the offered quantity of 1,300,000 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,281/ton.
