February 6: A strong demand was witnessed for G12 (GCV between 3,700 and 4,000 Kcal/kg) grade coal offered on the e-auctions conducted on the coaljunction platform during January 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 200,000 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,225/ton.
However, during December 2013, 1,292,270 tons of the offered quantity of 1,300,000 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,281/ton.
In November 2013, good demand was witnessed for G12 grade coal offered in the e-auctions conducted on the coaljunction platform as 1,076,990 tons of the offered quantity of 1,150,000 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 1,267/ton.
