May 6: There was a strong demand for G3 grade coal (GCV ranging between 6,400 Kcal/kg and 6,700 Kcal/kg) on the e-auction platform of coaljunction in April 2014 as 99.38% of the offered quantity got allotted. Out of a total quantity of 6,500 tons offered, 6,460 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,458/ton.
In March 2014, good demand was witnessed for G3 grade coal as 97.06% of the offered quantity got allotted. Out of a total quantity of 35,000 tons offered, 33,970 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 5,266/ton.
However, In February 2014, good demand was witnessed as 87.42% of the offered quantity got allotted. Out of a total quantity of 190,790 tons offered, 166,780 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,319/ton.
