May 5: G3 grade (GCV between 6,401 and 6,700 Kcal/kg) continued to meet with strong demand on the coaljunction e-auction platform in April as out of the offered quantity of 51,130 tons by ECL and SECL, 46,885 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 5,452 per ton.
G3 grade met with strong demand in March as well as the entire offered quantity of 22,000 tons by ECL got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 6,459 per ton on coaljunction.
There was strong demand of this grade on this platform in February 2015 as well as the entire quantity of 23,270 tons offered by ECL got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 6378/ton.
The continued lower offerings in both the months appear to have led to higher realisations.
