February 5: There was strong demand for G3 grade coal (GCV ranging between 6,400 Kcal/kg and 6,700 Kcal/kg) on the e-auction platform of coaljunction in January 2014 as 96.92% of the offered quantity got allotted. Out of a total quantity of 29,500 tons offered, 28,590 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 5,505/ton.
In December 2013, there was good demand for G3 grade coal on this same platform as 82.29% of the offered quantity got allotted. Out of a total quantity of 52,240 tons offered, 42,990 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,112/ton.
However, in November, there was good demand for G3 grade coal on the e-auction platform of coaljunction as 91.46% of the offered quantity got allotted. Out of a total quantity of 117,042 tons offered, 107,042 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,434/ton.
