February 24: Strong demand was witnessed for washery grade (W3 & W4) coking coal offered by Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) for allotment through the MSTC platform during the month of January 2014.
In January 2014, a total of 288,900 tons of coking coal were offered for allotment out of which 286,980 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the material stood at Rs 3,066 per ton.
However, during December 2013, a total of 291,540 tons of the material were offered for allotment out of which 291,520 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the material stood at Rs 3,033 per ton.
In November 2013, a total of 205,600 tons of coking coal were offered for allotment out of which 203,280 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the material stood at Rs 3,124 per ton.
