April 22: Strong demand was witnessed for washery grade (W3 & W4) coking coal offered by Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) for allotment through the MSTC platform during March 2014.
In March 2014, a total of 230,200 tons of coking coal were offered for allotment out of which 228,500 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the material stood at Rs 3,265 per ton.
In February 2014, a total of 172,050 tons of coking coal was offered for allotment out of which 134,200 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the material stood at Rs 3,113 per ton.
However, during January 2014, a strong demand was witnessed for coking coal e-auction as a total of 288,900 tons was offered for allotment and 286,980 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the material stood at Rs 3,066 per ton.
