February 24: A total of 83,888 tons of G-6 grade (GCV 5,501 to 5,800 Kcal/kg) of coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL met with good demand in the January 2014 e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as 82,938 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,926 per ton.
However, a total of 40,500 tons of G-6 grade of coal offered by two subsidiaries of CIL met with good demand in the December 2013 e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as 33,200 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,354 per ton.
On the other hand, in November, a total of 281,720 tons of G-6 grade of coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL met with good demand in the e-auctions as 269,930 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,577 per ton.
