May 5: Shaking off the rather poor show in March, G10 grade coal (GCV range 4,301 and 4,600 Kcal/kg) came with strong offering through the e-auction platform of coaljunction during April 2015 which saw very strong demand as average price gone northward.
The offered quantity in April from SECL, CCL and NCL rose to 393,410 with the allotted quantity at 383,410 tons and the weighted average price at Rs 1,826 per ton.
However, the offered quantity in March from WCL rose to 195,000, but the allotted quantity stood at 113,800 tons and the weighted average price was at Rs 1,463 per ton.
In February 2015, strong demand was witnessed for G10 grade on coaljunction as the entire offered quantity of 1,00,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,184 per ton.
