Supply of tapered volumes to continue till June 30

April 1: Supply of coal to those units which were getting on a tapered basis on the day of the Supreme Court judgment of September 24, 2014, will continue at the same quantity till June 30, 2015, since these are running units, the Standing Linkage Committee (Long-Term) for Power/Cement/Sponge Iron Sectors said at its meeting held on March 12, an official communique has revealed.

However, the panel has clarified that in case supply of coal starts from Schedule – II blocks allocated to fresh allocatees in the current auction process, this dispensation shall cease in respect of the units linked to such coal blocks.
