TANGEDCO floats NIT for 4.5-mt imported steam coal

February 12: Tamil Nadu Generation & Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) has floated a notice inviting tender (NIT) to procure 4.5 million tons (mt) of imported steam coal (of any origin), according to information available with ICMW.

The material is to be supplied during the period from April 2015 to September 2015.

The imported coal to be procured should have a GCV of 5,800-6,700 Kcal/Kg while the total moisture content should be 7-23%, ash content 2-8%, fixed carbon 30-50% whereas volatile matter should be 25-42%.

Interested parties can submit their bids till March 12, 2015 up to 2 pm while the bids will be opened on the same day at 2.30 pm.
